Do I have to confirm products for Auto DM to send?
Confirming a product is a quality check. Whether an Auto DM waits for it depends on your choice under When we're not sure of the product.
An Auto DM carries your link, so it follows the same rule as your posts: When we’re not sure of the product in Settings → Posting schedule.
What happens with each choice
- Always link: posts and Auto DMs use our best match right away. Confirming isn't needed; nothing waits for it. A count such as 221 matches need your OK is a list to check, not a switch that turns DMs on.
- Careful: a video whose product we aren't sure of has no link yet, so its Auto DMs are not sent until you confirm the product (or give the video your own link).
- Give me time to check: the same as Careful until the video's review window ends (12 or 24 hours), then our best match is used.
In every choice, a product you marked as not on Amazon gets no Amazon link, and a match our checks say is probably a different product is never sent without your OK.
Why confirm at all
Confirming locks the right product in: a later re-match never changes it, and the link in your posts and DMs is one you checked. It is also how you fix a wrong match before more people get it.
