ManyChat alternatives for Amazon affiliates

If you only use ManyChat to DM Amazon links to people who comment a word, here are the alternatives, and how to switch without breaking old posts.

If the only thing you use ManyChat for is sending an Amazon link to people who comment a word, you have three real alternatives: a DM feature built into the tool that already posts your videos, a tappable link where the platform allows one (on Facebook, the caption or the first comment), or answering by hand. The right one depends on whether ManyChat does anything else for you.

We make one of those alternatives, so read this with that in mind. We'll stick to what our own product does and what any creator can do without us. We haven't listed ManyChat's prices, because they change and we couldn't load its pricing page when we checked on October 25, 2026. Look at manychat.com/pricing for the current numbers.

What an Amazon affiliate actually needs from comment-to-DM

A general chat tool can do a lot. For TikTok Shop creators reposting to Facebook and Instagram, the job is narrower, and it has a few specific parts:

  • The right product for each post. Every Reel sells something different, so the link in the DM has to change with the post.
  • Your tracking ID on every link, so the sale is credited to you.
  • A disclosure in the DM.
  • Old posts keep working. Your back catalogue is where a lot of the comments are.
  • No double replies. Meta allows only one private reply per comment.

The first one is the one that takes the time. If you build a separate keyword flow for every product, you're doing product matching by hand inside a chat tool.

Alternative 1: Auto DM built into your posting tool

This is ours. Auto DM is part of EverySqueeze, not an add-on. When someone comments one of your trigger words (link, shop and info to start, plus a few of your own) on a Facebook or Instagram post, they get a DM with a button to the product. You don't build a flow per product: the DM sends the product of the TikTok video behind that post, with your tracking ID, because we match each TikTok video to its Amazon product.

It works on posts we didn't make, too, including ones from before you joined, once Coverage has matched the post to its TikTok video. There's no ManyChat connection in EverySqueeze, and you don't need one for this. See Do I still need ManyChat?.

What you set: the trigger words, the greeting and message, a disclosure such as #ad or (paid link), and optionally extra buttons, like one that opens the original TikTok. A post can have its own word, so the blender video can answer BLENDER. A line in your captions tells people what to comment. The whole flow is in Comment-to-DM for Amazon links.

On Instagram it works when your Instagram is linked to your Facebook Page. Facebook and Instagram each have their own switch.

What it doesn't do: anything besides answering comments with the product link. If ManyChat does other jobs for you, keep it for those.

Alternative 2: skip the DM on Facebook

On Facebook, a link can sit where people can tap it without asking. A caption can hold a link, and the first comment can too. EverySqueeze can put your tagged link in either, or both, automatically. See How to put an Amazon affiliate link on a Facebook Reel and Where your Amazon link goes on Facebook.

This doesn't replace a DM on Instagram, where caption and comment links aren't tappable. There, comment-to-DM is the only automatic way to hand someone a link.

Alternative 3: answer by hand

It's free and it's personal, and on a slow week it's fine. It stops being fine when a Reel takes off overnight and 200 people comment LINK while you're asleep, and the ones you get to days later have often moved on.

The part people miss when they switch: old keywords

ManyChat and Scaled Creator posts usually ask for their own word in the caption: "Comment PATCH and I'll send you the link". Those posts stay up and people keep commenting PATCH for months.

Auto DM reads the caption of the post that was commented on and answers the word it asks for, with the same DM as your trigger words. The switch is called Also answer the word each post asks for. It's on unless you turn it off, and you should leave it on when you switch. Turning it off doesn't stop ManyChat; it stops us from answering your old posts' words. It understands the usual phrasings ("Comment the word PATCH", "Type PATCH below") and two- or three-word asks in capitals or quotes. More in Moving from Scaled Creator or ManyChat.

A comment on an old post that Coverage hasn't matched yet waits for the match instead of being dropped, and that post jumps the matching queue.

How to switch, in order

  1. Turn on Auto DM in EverySqueeze, in Settings, Auto DM, on the Facebook card and the Instagram card.
  2. Check that Also answer the word each post asks for is on.
  3. Turn off ManyChat's comment automation for the same Facebook Page and Instagram account. If both tools answer comments, ManyChat can reply first and our DM for that comment is skipped.
  4. Keep ManyChat for anything else you use it for.
  5. Test from a friend's account, not your own. Auto DM never DMs your own account, and the DM may land in Message requests if the friend doesn't follow you.

Do step 3 after step 1, not before, so there's no gap where nobody answers.

So which one?

If ManyChat is only your link-sender, we'd switch to a built-in DM and drop a tool. If ManyChat does other jobs for you, keep it for those and just turn off its comment replies on the accounts where Auto DM answers. And on Facebook, put the link in the caption or first comment as well, so people who don't comment can still tap it.
