YouTube Shorts and links in the description

Your vertical TikToks normally appear on YouTube as Shorts, and YouTube doesn't make links in a Short's description tappable.

EverySqueeze uploads your TikTok video to YouTube as it is, with a title and description built from your TikTok caption. YouTube treats a vertical or square video of up to 3 minutes as a Short, so your TikToks normally show up there as Shorts.

Links in a Short's description aren't tappable

YouTube doesn't make a link in a Short's description or comments tappable (it says this is to reduce spam and scam attempts). Your Amazon link and disclosure are still in the description, as plain text, but a viewer can't tap them, and EverySqueeze can't change that. Facebook captions and Pinterest pins do carry a link people can tap: see Where your Amazon link goes on Facebook and Amazon links on Pinterest pins.

What goes into the description, and where, is in Your YouTube description template.
