The new video notification (Tap to approve)
Why your phone says a new video is ready and to tap to approve it, and how to make new videos post on their own without asking you.
When EverySqueeze finds a new TikTok, it adds a card for it to Posts in the phone app. If notifications are on for your phone, it tells you only when something is waiting on you, and the words say what.
What each message means
- Tap to approve and cross-post it everywhere. The general message, sent when EverySqueeze can't promise the video posts on its own: automatic posting is paused, no platform has its own auto-post switch on, the video has no TikTok Shop product (automatic posting only picks up Shop videos), or it is a photo post that is not posted automatically on your account. It is also sent when more than two new videos arrive in the same check, or when your settings couldn't be read at that moment. In those last two cases, platforms on auto-post may still post the videos on their own, so look at Schedule before posting one by hand: a video queued there will go out by itself.
- Facebook and Instagram post automatically. Tap to post it to YouTube. Some platforms are on auto-post and the ones named after Tap to post are not; those wait for you.
- Tap to confirm the product so it can post. Your setting for when we're not sure of the product is Careful, and this video's product needs your OK first.
- No notification at all: every platform you connected is on auto-post and nothing needs you. The video posts at its planned time; Schedule shows when.
Post new videos automatically, with no approval
- In the phone app, tap the cog, then Accounts and platforms, and turn on Auto-post under Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest (each one you want). On the desktop dashboard it is Auto-post new TikToks in each platform's settings, or the Post to tiles in Settings → Posting schedule.
- Make sure automatic posting isn't paused: in the app, tap the cog, then Posting schedule, and check that Automatic posting is on; on the desktop, the Auto-post new TikToks switch in Settings → Posting schedule.
- Pinterest also needs its boards set up, and YouTube needs a TikTok caption it can make a title from.
- To never be asked about a product, pick Balanced or Always link under When we’re not sure of the product (see When EverySqueeze asks before it posts).
Automatic posts go out inside your posting hours and daily limits, not the moment the TikTok appears.
Stop the notification itself
Turn off Push notifications in the app (the cog, Account and device, Notifications). That one switch also stops failed-post alerts on that phone. In the iPhone App Store app there is no off switch there: open the iPhone Settings app, then EverySqueeze, then Notifications. See Phone notifications.
