When new videos post
Choose whether a new TikTok's posts are spread through the day or go out as soon as your hours, posts per day and spacing allow.
Settings → Posting schedule has a "When new videos post" card with two choices. It decides when a new TikTok's automatic posts go out on each platform.
Spread through the day
Spread through the day is the default. A day's posts on one platform share the hours left in your posting hours evenly, so a new video that arrives in the afternoon may be planned for the evening. See Spacing between posts.
As soon as possible
As soon as possible gives each new video's post the first time every rule allows on that platform:
- inside your posting hours (see Posting hours);
- on the first day that is still under your posts per day (see Posts per day);
- at least your spacing from that platform's other posts and from its last post (45 minutes unless you chose more), a few minutes apart from your other platforms, and never on the hour or a quarter-hour.
So with no other post close by, a new video goes out within a few minutes of arriving. A video waiting for you to check its product, or for anything else, still waits; once it's free, it takes the first open time.
What it doesn't change
Older videos (Post older videos) and posts you schedule yourself are always spread. A post you set a time for keeps it. When you switch between the two choices, the posts EverySqueeze already planned are laid out again once under the new choice. The mobile app doesn't have this setting yet: change it on the desktop dashboard.
