Instagram must be a professional account

Instagram needs a Creator or Business account, linked to your Page if you connect through Facebook — a personal account can't be connected either way.

Instagram only posts from EverySqueeze when the account is a Professional account — Creator or Business. A personal account can't be connected either way, whether through your Facebook Page or through Instagram's own login.

If you connect Facebook and its Page has no linked Professional Instagram account, Settings shows Instagram is not linked yet, with a note to link a professional Instagram account to your Facebook Page, then reconnect.

If you connect Instagram directly and the account isn't Professional, the connection stops with a message that the account "isn't a professional (Creator or Business) account". Switch it in Instagram, then try again.

Switching is free and takes about a minute, and can be switched back: in Instagram, open your profile, tap the menu, Settings and activity, Account type and tools, Switch to professional account, then choose Creator or Business. There is no follower minimum.

Once the account is Professional and linked (through the Page, or via its own login), reconnect in Settings → Accounts and platforms → Instagram. See Connect Facebook and Instagram and The two ways Instagram can connect.
