Why Facebook/Instagram access expires

Facebook and Instagram access expires roughly every 60 days — an email reminder goes out when it's about to.

Facebook's access to your account expires roughly every 60 days — this is how Meta's long-lived tokens work, not something EverySqueeze can turn off. When it expires, posting to Facebook (and Instagram, if it posts through your Facebook Page) stops until you reconnect.

The connection card in Settings shows when access expires once you're within 60 days of it, and shows Expired. Reconnect. once it has.

An email reminder goes out once the connection is within 7 days of expiring, addressed to your account email, naming the date in your saved time zone. If Instagram posts through its own connection rather than your Facebook Page, the reminder names Facebook only, since Instagram isn't affected by that expiry.
