Get it on your phone (QR code)
Scan a QR code from your computer to sign your phone in to EverySqueeze and add the app to your Home Screen, with nothing to type.
On a computer, EverySqueeze can show a QR code that signs your phone in to your account. You'll find it at the end of setup, on Home until a phone has used a code, and any time under Settings → Account and device → Get it on your phone.
Scanning the code
- Click "Show QR code". Nothing is created until you click.
- Point your phone's camera at the code and tap the link that appears.
- Your phone shows which account it will sign in to. Tap "Sign in on this phone" only if it is your own account and you scanned the code yourself.
- Follow the steps there to add EverySqueeze to your Home Screen.
Each code works once and expires after 10 minutes. "Cancel this code" stops it early. Only send the link to your own phone: whoever opens it is signed in to your account.
Already have the EverySqueeze iPhone app?
If you're testing the iPhone app, tap "Open it in the app instead" on your phone after scanning. The app asks you to confirm, then signs you in. Without the app installed, sign in in Safari and add it to your Home Screen instead.
Signing in the Home Screen app
The EverySqueeze icon on your Home Screen keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari. To sign it in with a code, scan the code, then tap "Copy link for the Home Screen app" instead of signing in. Open the Home Screen app and tap "Paste sign-in link". The same code works once, within its 10 minutes. More in Staying signed in.
Signing a phone out
Settings → Account and device lists "Phones signed in with a code". Click "Sign out" next to a phone you no longer use or have lost. It works from any computer signed in to your account.
Who can use it
Only the account owner. Assistants sign in on their phone with their own login, once the owner has invited them by email. On a phone, Settings shows the Home Screen steps instead of a code, because you can't scan your own screen.
