YouTube upload needs recovery
A YouTube upload stopped partway or its result could not be saved; trying again continues the same upload instead of making a second video.
You may see one of these after posting to YouTube:
- The YouTube upload is still going (…% sent). Continue it to finish the same upload.
- The YouTube upload stopped at …% before YouTube confirmed it. Try again to continue the same upload. It will not start a second video.
- This YouTube upload needs recovery before it can be tried again.
- The YouTube upload stopped partway and could not be saved to continue later. Check YouTube Studio before trying again.
What it means
Large videos go to YouTube in pieces. EverySqueeze remembers how far an upload got, so a stopped upload can pick up where it left off. While an upload is open, the post is held rather than counted as a failed try, so it does not use up its attempts.
What to do
- If the message says Try again or Continue, post it to YouTube again. It continues the same upload and cannot create a second video.
- If the message says to check YouTube Studio, open YouTube Studio first and look for the video. The upload record was lost, so EverySqueeze cannot tell whether YouTube kept it.
- If it says the upload needs recovery and trying again does not clear it, use Report a problem so support can look at it.
