Post on hold because of the video's format
TikTok gave us this video only in a newer format Instagram, Facebook and YouTube can't play, so the post waits instead of going out broken.
TikTok keeps several copies of every video. Now and then the only copy it offers for a video is in a newer video format that Instagram, Facebook and YouTube can't play yet. Instagram refuses that file, and Facebook and YouTube can take it but then show the video as not available.
What EverySqueeze does
- It always picks a copy the platforms can play when TikTok has one, and it checks the file itself before posting.
- When TikTok only has the newer format, the post is on hold, not failed. Your Schedule says so on the post, nothing is sent, and no try is used up.
- EverySqueeze asks TikTok again about every 6 hours and posts the video as soon as a playable copy is there, on your normal schedule.
- If TikTok still has no playable copy after 3 days, the post moves to your failed posts with that reason. Retry asks TikTok again.
What you can do
Nothing is needed: the post goes out by itself once TikTok has a playable copy. If you'd rather not wait, you can cancel the post from your Schedule.
