Pinterest says "Session mismatch — try connecting again"

Pinterest finished in a different browser, a different tab or more than 10 minutes later than the one you started in. Start again in one browser.

Session mismatch — try connecting again shows when Pinterest sends you back to EverySqueeze in a browser that didn't start the connection. Nothing was connected and nothing changed. It is not caused by the Chrome extension.

Why it happens

When you press Connect Pinterest, the browser you pressed it in remembers the request for 10 minutes. The answer from Pinterest has to come back to that same browser within that time. It doesn't when:

What to do

  1. Use a computer if you can, in the browser where you're signed in to EverySqueeze (not a Private tab).
  2. Open Settings → Accounts & platforms and press Connect Pinterest once.
  3. Approve on Pinterest in the tab that opens, right away.
  4. You land back in Settings with Pinterest connected. Then set up your boards: see Pinterest boards.

On a phone, start from the EverySqueeze app's Settings and finish in the same place it opens; if Pinterest jumps to its own app, finish on a computer instead.

Still failing after a fresh try on a computer? Use Report a problem in Pip's menu and say which browser you used.

Open it in EverySqueeze

Signed in, this article opens in the app’s Help center, with a button straight to Pinterest settings.
