Using the extension with shared Amazon access
One Amazon login can see another creator's store. The extension only works for the store selected, and only if it is yours.
Amazon lets one Associates login have shared access to another creator's store. That store then shows in the store dropdown at the top of Amazon Associates, next to your own. From extension version 1.0.23, the EverySqueeze extension only works for the store that is selected in that dropdown, and only when that store belongs to the EverySqueeze account you are signed in to. Nothing from another creator's store is ever saved to your account.
The rule: one Chrome profile per store
Use a separate Chrome profile for each creator's store, each signed in to that creator's EverySqueeze account. If you manage several creators (for example as an assistant), keep one profile per creator and leave each profile's store dropdown on that creator's store.
What the extension menu shows
- Your store selected: the menu names the store at the top, and Scan, Accept and Run every day work as usual.
- Wrong Amazon store selected: Amazon Associates has a store selected that this EverySqueeze account does not use. The menu names both stores. Switch the store dropdown in Amazon Associates to your store, or open the other store in its own Chrome profile. Until then Scan, Accept and the daily run wait, and the last run says it was held.
- Is this store your own? The account owner also sees this question under Wrong Amazon store selected. Choose Yes, add it only for a store you own (for example your onsite ONAMZ store, or a second store of your own). Never add a store someone shared with you: its earnings and campaigns would be saved to your account. After adding, reload Amazon Associates.
- Assistants never see Yes, add it: only the creator can add a store.
- After updating, a second store of your own can start with empty settings on this computer. The owner's Advanced settings then offer to use your main store's settings and products for it.
When the server refuses an upload
Every upload names the store it read. A store that is not linked to your account is refused and nothing is saved (amazon-store-foreign). An upload that names two different stores is refused too (amazon-store-conflict). An extension older than 1.0.23 does not say which store it read; once the new version has been in the Chrome Web Store for a few days, its uploads are refused until it updates (amazon-store-required). To update, open chrome://extensions and press Update.
The store your account is linked to
Settings → Amazon shows the linked store under Amazon Associates account. Linking names one store. A store joins only when the owner links it there or answers Yes, add it in the extension. Earnings already saved stay as they are.
