The Pinterest fallback board

Automatic Pinterest posting needs one default board, the fallback; category boards are optional and anything unsure goes to the fallback.

Automatic posting needs one default board: your fallback (catch-all) board. We can also make a board for each product category and pin each product to the matching one. Anything we're not sure about goes to the fallback board. Remove the category boards in Settings and everything goes to the fallback board.

In setup

The Pinterest step asks for one board. That board becomes your fallback board: every automatic Pin goes there until you add category boards.

In Settings

On your computer, Settings → Accounts & platforms → Pinterest shows Automatic board routing; the ? beside it opens this explanation. Edit routing lets you add category boards, or Remove one so its products go to the fallback board. In the phone app the same choice is the Catch-all board. Nothing already on Pinterest is deleted.
